Four things, and installation is not one of them.

Everything below is professional work, supply, or labour. The installation is performed by a licensed contractor, or by a homeowner under their own permit.

Design and engineering

The full document set for a residential solar, storage or service-upgrade project, issued to whoever is building it.

  • Load analysis and system sizing against actual consumption
  • Single-line diagrams, site plans and permit drawings
  • Permit application packages in the form the AHJ wants
  • Utility interconnection applications and supporting documents
  • Plan-check response: we revise and reissue until it clears

Field staffing

Trained solar crews placed with licensed contractors. They are our W-2 employees, on our payroll and our workers' compensation. You direct the work.

Procurement

Modules, inverters, racking, batteries, service equipment and EV chargers. Sourced, ordered, received and delivered to site. Title and manufacturer warranties pass to you on delivery.

A panel change or a charger circuit is usually where a solar project actually gets stuck. We do the part that decides whether it goes smoothly.

Who we work with.

Two kinds of client, and the shape of the job is different for each.

Licensed contractors

You hold the licence, the permit and the customer contract. We take the engineering off your desk, buy your equipment, and put trained crews on your jobs. You direct the work.

Homeowners building under their own permit

You are the owner-builder. We design it, prepare the permit package for you to sign and submit, and deliver your equipment. The full breakdown is here.

Homeowners who want it installed for them

We will size it, price it and get the documents right, then introduce you to a licensed contractor who contracts with you directly for the installation and warrants it.

What stays true either way

We do not perform the installation and we do not supervise it. Whoever installs it is responsible for it, and you will always know which party that is.

Our scope

We are not a contractor, and we will not pretend to be one.

GP Solar Solutions holds no California contractor's licence. That is not a gap we are working around — it is the shape of the business. Everything we sell is professional work, equipment, or labour, and none of it requires one.

What it means in practice: we will not quote you an installed price, we will not run your crew, and we will not pull your permit. Where a job needs a licensed contractor, you contract with that contractor directly, and they answer for the work. We would rather say that on the front page than have you find it out later.
